If you’ve been injured at work, in a public place or in a road accident, it’s important to get the justice you deserve. A personal injury claim is the best way to go about obtaining this, and receiving financial compensation for your injuries, lost earnings and medical treatment.
By contacting an accident solicitor or law firm specialising in accident injury claims, it is possible to receive compensation for injuries sustained as a result of an accident that wasn’t your fault. They will assess your case and if necessary refer you to a medical examiner to assess the extent of your injuries.
When selecting a personal injury lawyer to take on your case, it makes sense to choose one which will ensure you get 100% of the accident compensation you are awarded.
A growing number of accident solicitors offer 100% of compensation to clients on a no win no fee basis. How this works is that you pay nothing to the law firm while they fight your case, and if they win, the other side pays their fees. If you are unsuccessful in your claim, your own insurance will cover you for any legal costs arising from the solicitor and from the other side.
The underpinning idea behind personal injury claims is that the individual should be reimbursed for any trauma, injury or loss of earnings they have suffered as a result of their accident. In the past, lawyers would take their own hefty fee out of any compensation award, but now it is standard practice for victims to receive 100% of the compensation.

Matt
After an accident there are many things that need to be addressed. What condition is the car in? Is anybody hurt? And will the insurance cover this? These are all important questions that need to be dealt with yet you might find that you have sustained injuries that are not apparent right after the accident; after all, your health should be paramount.
Trouble sleeping could build up to stress and a lack of sleep could mean difficulty getting through the days, as these problems will escalate and can make life very hard to balance everything you need to do.
So what should you do?
Well, the first step would be to contact a professional. Speak to some one who has a history of dealing with injury claims like Matt (pictured above). He will be able to access your situation and whether you will be entitled to an accident compensation claim.
There is a team of professionals like Matt that are on hand to help you through the claim process and they all offer a ‘no win no fee‘ service that is backed with a team of professional and qualified solicitors.
If you have been unfortunate enough to be involved in an accident then you might be entitled to a no win no fee claim that will provide you with compensation for any injuries sustained. My advice would be to get in touch with Matt or any of his co workers at Claims For You and see if they can help you today.

Welcome to the second instalment of accident can happen anywhere. In the first part we looked at the demise of Franz Reichelt (tailor and inventor) and the death of 9 people in a beer flood. The second part of this post will address people who have suffered from accidents up to the start of the 21st century. You will be surprised at the types of accident claiming peoples lives.
Famous American escape artist Harry Houdini died in 1926. Mr Houdini claimed that he could withstand any blow to his body that occurred above the waist, excluding his head. This lead to him being punched in the stomach by an amateur boxer. This has been done with Houdinis’ permission but complications developed from the blow which caused his death days later on Halloween. Try not to get punched. In 1972 Leslie Harvey, guitarist of the popular rock band ‘Stone the Crows’ died after touching a live microphone on stage. The surge of electricity was so great that the guitarist died there and then.
Tommy Cooper, a British slapstick comedian suffered and died from a heart attack on stage whilst being broadcast live on national television. Mr Cooper collapsed on stage and the audience continued to laugh believing that it was all part of the show. Other actors tried to fill the time until his body was moved off stage. Attempts where made to revive him but all where unsuccessful and was pronounced dead at the scene.
2005 saw the death of a 28 year old South Korean. The young man collapsed after suffering from fatigue after playing a computer game for 50 hours straight. The fan of the game ‘Starcraft’ collapsed and died in an internet café after becoming engrossed in the game play.
Very few people get to do the job that they love. For those few that enjoy their job, it is not uncommon to see their enthusiasm come pouring through. None more so than that of the late great Steve Irwin. An Australian television presenter known by many as ‘The Crocodile Hunter’ died at a young age when his heart was punctured by a short tail stingray whilst filming a documentary called ‘Oceans Deadliest’ in Queensland on the great barrier reef.
This provides you with a quick overview of how some icons of society have passed away and other people that have just been in unfortunate events that have lead to their demise.

There are many hazards with in a working environment and some more apparent than others and one such hazard that can often be overlooked or ignored is that of asbestos.
Asbestos is a fiber that is a fireproof material that was used in building materials across the UK as a step towards improving health and safety and making buildings more fire proof. It was hoped that by using this fireproof material would allow people more time to leave buildings and ultimately save lives. Ironically it is now the asbestos that is causing all the health problems. The asbestos fibers can cause long term health problems when breathed in. The fibers sit in the lungs, sometimes as long as 40 years with out any problems and then over time these fibers can harden and restrict movement of the lungs. This can be fatal in some cases and can often cause lung and throat cancer.
It is important that people who come into contact with asbestos are made aware of the scale of any potential problems that asbestos can cause. It is advisable that protective equipment is worn at all times when dealing with asbestos and should be disposed of in the correct manor. It is also advisable that companies provide their employees with enough training to deal with and work with asbestos if their job means that they are likely to come into contact with it.
There are rules and regulations that need to be adhered to in order to remove asbestos and a survey can be done in order to establish the condition and type of asbestos that might be present in the building. The removal of asbestos has to be done following strict guidelines and procedures and must be disposed of using the correct techniques and methods.
If you are working in the building trade or perhaps you are an electrician and may have to drill through suspicious materials than an asbestos awareness course would be advisable in order to help you identify any possible places in which you might find asbestos in order to allow you to become aware of any risk.
Asbestos can be found in the following materials: toilet seats, toilet cisterns, bitumen, floor tiles, fascia boards and even guttering. As there is a broad range of materials that asbestos can be found in and care should be taken on an ongoing basis when working near or on materials that could potentially contain asbestos.
If you are looking for a no win no fee solicitor or looking to make a Compensation Claim for an asbestos related disease that you may have established whilst working for a company look for a company with a good reputation that will be able to deliver you the best service available.

Each year in the UK thousands of people fall victim to accidents that are caused by other people’s negligence or failure to comply with basic health and safety protocol. Some of these injuries include back related pain, whiplash, strained or damaged muscles and broken or fracture bones. Injuries like these can lead to employees having to take short or long term time away from work.
There are two main types of injury that people look to get compensation for and those are usually work related injuries or road traffic accidents. Many people look to obtain accident compensation claims that suffer from ongoing injuries as a result of the accident or have suffered from a loss of earnings. This article will address two common areas of accidents in the UK, the reasons for the accidents and the motivation for a claim.
Work related injuries
Many work related accidents are down to the carelessness of co workers, and their lack of consideration towards health and safety guidelines. One such cause of an accident can be found in the form of the narrow plastic straps that are used to secure large deliveries of goods to the pallets. Peoples unwillingness to dispose of these straps correctly are a common cause of many warehouse slips and trips leading to back injuries as well as broken and fractured bones. Other such causes of injuries at work can be attributed to wet floors that haven’t been cleaned up and incorrect lifting of heavy objects. Employers are continually under more and more pressure to enforce health and safety measures and make the working environment a safer place.
Road traffic accidents
Plenty of injuries are caused each year by road traffic accidents. Hundreds of people are not fortunate enough to walk away from such collisions, and those that do, can suffer from long term injuries. Many of these accidents can be related to a lack of concentration or lack of consideration from other road users, but this is little comfort for those involved in such incidents. However, the ability to claim financial compensation is something that people choose to pursue for any injuries suffered either short or long term. Loss of earning plays a part in the compensation claims as those who suffer still have bills to pay. Many people use the money that they receive to make life more comfortable after their injury.
A claim can be made up to three years after your injury; this is to allow people that suffer from injuries that don’t always occur after the accident happens. The amount you get from any compensation claim will vary on elements like how badly hurt were you and how long did you suffer? Some things that you should also consider is do the firm taking up my claim offer a no win, no fee basis? And will I get 100% of my compensation? It is well worth using a reputable company to advise you on accident claims as there are a lot of companies out there that can be misleading and not always offer you the best deal.

In our previous dental careers article we looked at the roles and responsibilities of a dentist but what does the job of a dental nurse involve. Well in this blog post we aim to clear this up.
One of the main things we think a dental nurse does is provide chair side support for the dentist as this is what we mainly see them do when we visit the dentist, but their job involves a lot more behind the scenes aspects which we do not get to see. They are actually one of the most important members of a dental team and will provide support in all aspects of patient care.
A lot of this work will be admin based with maintaining practice records on the computer being a large responsibility. All data needs to be entered accurately to ensure records are kept correctly and the practice can provide the best care to its patients. Other admin work is revolved around ordering stock for the surgery making sure they keep track of the stock levels and the cost of items.
As well as the standard chair side duties, dental nurses are required to maintain and use the equipment in the surgery to given standards and guidelines. This will include using and maintaining the x-ray processing equipment making sure they follow radiographic procedures.
They are required to maintain the surgery to company policies and health and safety regulations, this will also include of disposing of waste from the surgery.
Just like a dentist the dental nurse will need to have constant training to keep up with the ever changing procedures and techniques they will be required to perform on a day to day basis in the surgery.
So as we can see the role of a dental nurse is a bit more than sitting next to a dentist passing him things. As with most businesses it is roles like these which actually hold the business together and without them the place would fall apart. So all surgeries should be looking at dental nurse recruitment to help get some great staff in to push their surgery forwards.
